Tin Tran joins Realtime Conveyancer as Chief Technology Officer

Tin Tran (1)

Realtime Conveyancer is delighted to announce the appointment of Tin Tran as its new Chief Technology Officer. Tin brings more than 15 years of experience in consultancy and technology enablement, with a strong background in enterprise architecture, project management, business development, and sales.

With a vision to make the technology offered by Realtime so easy to use and compelling that it becomes almost addictive, Tin said he would put customer experience at the centre of technology decisions.

“If we can change the customer experience in a way that we have clients wondering 'how on earth did we ever do this another way?' that's extremely powerful,” Tin said. “The secret to great features is that they need to really matter and make a difference to customers.”

Prior to joining Realtime Conveyancer, Tran held the position of Managing Director at Escient, a management consultancy specialising in strategy advisory and project delivery. At Escient, he successfully grew the team to 180 employees, focusing on leveraging technology to solve business problems and enhance customer experiences. His career also includes time with major  enterprises and technology integrators, as well as roles as a web developer.

Tin said he was passionate about the ability to develop innovative solutions with the Realtime team, and particularly excited about supporting Realtime through its transition from startup to scaleup.

“Some of the most satisfying times in my career have been working in smaller teams in the technology development space," Tin said. “I wanted to move back into an area I was really passionate about. The job of moving Realtime from a startup into a scaleup really ticked my boxes because I love that entire process.”

Tin said he would be taking a listening-first approach, focusing on understanding the current landscape before envisioning the future of the organisation.

"I'm not a person who jumps into solutions straight away. The most important thing is to listen first and understand the lay of the land," he explained. "Once I formulate that, the next thing I want to do is picture ourselves in the future. What does the scaled-up organisation look like? Let's get a really clear picture in our head and map out a path to get there."

Founder and CEO of Realtime Conveyancer, Kylie Dillon, said she was excited to welcome a CTO of Tin’s calibre into the team.

“Tin’s focus on our clients and understanding their experiences is completely in alignment with the personal vision I’ve always had for Realtime that our technology should make the lives of conveyancers easier and return the joy back to the industry,” Kylie said.

“Taking a proptech from startup to scale-up is never without its challenges, but I’m genuinely energised by what lies ahead with Tin joining the team. This next phase of Realtime’s growth is all about deepening our impact—bringing innovation to the forefront while staying grounded in the human side of conveyancing that’s always been core to our mission.”
